FFmpeg source code
Last updated
Yapp Studio includes FFmpeg (its ffmpeg and ffprobe programs) to read and write video and audio. FFmpeg is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1 or later. Yapp's build of it has no GPL or non-free parts.
The version Yapp Studio ships
- Source code: ffmpeg-8.1.3.tar.xz, the same file the FFmpeg project publishes at ffmpeg.org (SHA-256 7138d28c96d9d3e3af4ee3d8cad72741f8ffb40da90c1112235dea3ecd3178a3).
- How we build it: build-ffmpeg-8.1.3.txt, the script that configures and builds it.
The same details, with the configure line, are in the LICENSE.md file inside the app: in Finder, Control-click Yapp Studio, choose Show Package Contents, then open Contents, Resources, ffmpeg.
Our offer
For at least three years after Yapp Studio last ships a version of FFmpeg, we keep that version's source code and build script on this page. You can also write to [email protected], and we will send them to you at no charge.
FFmpeg is a trademark of Fabrice Bellard, originator of the FFmpeg project.
